The 47 yo male patient presented with unrelenting radicular symptoms of pain, numbness, and weakness radiating from the neck down the arm and into the hand. Imaging confirmed cervical foraminal stenosis at C5 / C6.

Treatment

Patient underwent a C5 / C6 cervical foraminotomy with VersaWrap Nerve Protector applied as a sheet directly over the exposed nerve root.

Results

At 2 weeks after surgery, surgeon reported patient was successfully able to return to daily living activities without pain, weakness, nor numbness. At 6 weeks, the patient was back to full exercise capability with no sign of the original symptoms.
